Move your data to a new phone
With PRO: from your Google Drive PRO
With PRO, your copy is already in your Google Drive. Install Doctor Planner on the new phone: the first time you open it, it offers to restore. If it doesn't, open Backup/restore → Cloud sync tab, sign in with the same Google account, tap Sync now, pick the copy and tap Restore.
Free version: with a computer and a cable
Android only allows moving these files through a computer. You need a computer, a USB cable, and the app installed and opened at least once on the new phone.
- Connect the old phone to the computer with the cable and unlock it.
- In the phone's USB notification, choose File transfer.
- On the computer, open the phone and go to this folder:
Internal storage\Android\data\com.doctorplanner\files\Doctorplanner\Backups - Copy the latest backup to the computer. You can now disconnect the old phone.
- On the new phone, install Doctor Planner and open it once so it creates its folders.
- Connect the new phone the same way (steps 1–3) and open the same
Backupsfolder. - Copy the file you saved on the computer into it.
- Open Doctor Planner on the new phone and go to Backup/restore.
- Find your backup in the list of available backups and tap Restore.
With PRO you don't need any of this: the copy uploads itself to your Google Drive once a day.
